CHEF’S BIO

To be the best at something, you’ve got to love doing it. Chef Mark Pridgen found out that he loves cooking when he was 17. One of his first jobs was working at a family-owned Italian restaurant in Jupiter, Florida.

He loved everything about restaurant life … the family, the customers, the staff, the inner workings of the kitchen and the process of diverse ingredients coming together in a heavenly meal! Mark took his love to the next level when he was 22, opening his own Italian Cafe.

Encouraged by the success of his youthful enterprise, he moved to Colorado and upped the ante by earning a degree from the Colorado of Institute of Art. From there, he opened a delicatessen and catering business. Mark eventually joined another Italian, family-owned business, Tony’s Meats & Market. Mark headed up the family’s Littleton location for twenty satisfying years.

In 2014, he launched the much-loved Gourmet Food expansion at Rustic Point. Building on that success, he opened Evergreen Cooking School & Gourmet Goods in Bergen Village! He now teaches wildly popular gourmet cooking classes, four nights a week. His love of all things culinary is evident in his kitchen!

His mountain area neighbors delight in his signature lines of gourmet goods.  Everything from barbecue sauces and jams, to seasoning blends and salad dressings! Look for a variety of Chef’s homemade soups in the freezer!
